Well that was certainly a longer blogging break than I expected! In the last few months we have completed a small renovation on our old house, sold it, bought a new house and completed some minor work on that too - then moved 10 years worth of collected stuff! I'm still trying to find all of my scrapping stash in amongst all the boxes but we are in and ready to roll :)
I recently popped up my creations on the Scrapmatts blog for April. It was a bit of a challenge trying to find everything I needed but it meant I had to be a little bit more creative when I couldn't find things (see there is always a bright side!). My tag for April:
Of course there had to be a little bit of Easter creating as well:
I recently did a bit of shopping at The Scrapbook Store (seeing as I couldn't find stuff, it was an excuse to go shopping and get some more!) and I managed to get my hands a the cutest 'Chalkboard Sayings' stamp by MFT. So I decided to have a play with the chalkboard theme. I painted my Scrapmatts tag black and then heat embossed one of the stamped sayings in white for a chalkboard look. I wanted the edges to look a bit distressed so I heat embossed those using Kaisercraft's edges stamps:

Now I really need to find my trimmer! I've discovered I can't seem to cut a straight line using a craft knife and ruler anymore - now which box do I start looking in?!!!
